About Me

R. Clayton Rougelot
I’m originally from Louisiana and a proud graduate of LSU. When the time came to choose a path in life, I decided to go into video production because it’s a dynamic art form that can capture moments that connect with people. Whether I’m shooting vibrant lifestyle footage, informative broadcast news, punchy commercials or soaring drone footage, I try to innovate the experience for the viewer to make sure they come away with a new perspective. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy things like kayaking, bicycling, hiking, golfing, reading non-fiction and movies. I’m passionate about scuba diving—a pursuit that mirrors my love for exploration and attention to detail. I often carry the same visual curiosity into my personal adventures, finding beauty in the stories that unfold beneath the surface, both literally and creatively.
This site is a curated space to share the work that inspires me and reflects the dedication I bring to every frame.
Videography
I love to approach each project I take with open eyes. I have used multiple types of cameras over the years, and I’m quick to learn any new camera put in my hands. I found that no matter the platform, video is here to stay.
Editing
George Lucas believed that the true magic of filmmaking takes place in the editing room. I’ve taken that sentiment and ran with it to shape each project in post-production to be both impactful and authentic.
Producing
When producing a project, organization is key. It’s crucial that everything is in place for flawless execution so that your vision may come to fruition. On top of that, writing can make all the difference between success and failure.
